THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT. BARQUE DISABLED. ARGENTINE ELECTIONS. RIOT AND BLOODSHED. London, February 8. The Local Government for Ireland Bill will be the principal measure brought forward during the session. The other Bills promised are—Assisted Education for Ireland, Small Holdings, District Councils in England, Private Bill Procedure, Scotland Clergy Discipline, Employers’ Liability Amendment, Relief from Local Rates of Public Elementary Schools of England, Amendment of the Law of Evidence, and Revision of Agreement Between the Bank of England and the Government. The Dady News says the leaders of the Opposition will move an amendment to the Address-in-Reply. Hobakt, February 9. The barque Doon, which left Liverpool on 3rd November for Wellington, New Zealand, has arrived hero, having been seriously damaged in a gale. She has lost her mainmast. The voyage will be resumed as soon as repairs are effected. Buenos Ayres, February 9. The elections have not been conducted without bloodshed. Twenty persons were killed or wounded during the riots. The Argentine elections are favorable to the party of peace.
