Barnett, while suffering from deli rum tremens, attempted to drown himself twice in Akieto River, and was rescued. His clothes were found on the bank, and he is supposed to have at last made a successful attempt. Bluff, Thursday. The Gothenburgh left Hobson's Bay at 3 p.m. on the Bth April, and had light variable winds the remainder of the passage, and arrived at the Bluff at 415 p.m. to day. She sails for Dunedin to-night. Passengers for Dunedin — Mrs Kempthorne, Master Kempthorne, Misses Kempthorne (3), Mr G. Horn, Mr Neilson, Mr Frost, and 20 steerage.
