WEST COAST FRONTIER RELIEF ASSOCIATION. THE promoters of the West Coast Frontier Relief Fund have reason to believe that there are many cases arising oufc of the operations connected with the defence of the out-settlements, which call for relief, and there is reason to fear that such cases will hereafter increase. It is with a view to relieve those who now are, or may hereafter bo in distress thafc the practical sympathies of our fellow colonists are solicited. Besides that; which fche Government may be enabled fco do, and beyond that which private friends may do, there is a work to be done by the publio generally of a character unobtrusive though not unfelt, requiring a discrimination, in the choice of objects and a judicious apportionment of the means of relief. This work the Committee of the West Coast Frontier Relief Fund is willingto assist in undertaking, and in the performance of its duty invites the active 00-operation of the public. It is a privilege, which requires no advocacy, for those far removed from any apprehension of the immediate consequences of such border raids, fco come forward and aid those who, with the small inducement which colonial service holds out, have gone boldly to tho Front fco meet and repel the marauder and murdererer. Any member of the Committee will receive and hand over to the Treasurer any sums, however small, which may be given towards effecting this desired object. Subscriptions may be sent, addressed to the Treasurer, afc fche office of fche Town Board. C. R. CARTER, Hon. Treasurer. J. W. JORDAN, Hon Secretary. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CAPTAINS AND SHIPOWNERS.
