TO CONTRACTORS. nnHE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to JL receive tenders for the erection and maintc nance of a line of telegraph between Napier and Purangahau, both in the Province of Hawke's Bft yTenders to state separately the price per mile for erection, and the prico for the maintenance of the line for twelve calendar months. Each tender must bo accompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds sterling as a guarantee of good faith, which deposit will be forfeited by any tenderer if, in tho event of his tender being accepted, ho refuse to t.ike up tho contract. Each tender must include tho names of two sureties for approval, who are willing to become bond for the due performance of the work in the event of the tender being accepted. Specifications can be seen, and all information obtained, at tho Telegraph Office, Wellington, at the Telegraph Station, Christchurch, or at tho Office of the Provincial Engineer, Napier. Tenders, endorsed " Tenders for construction and maintenance of telegraph line," and addressed "The Telegraph Engineer, Wellington," to bo sent in not later than the 2t3th December, 1867.
