Memorial to thk Late Mrs Hobhoitse. — An inlaid brass tablet, beautifully executed, has boon sent from England by Bishop Hobhouse, to be erected in tlio porch of tho church at Springgroyo, Nelson, recently erected by him in memory of his late wife. Tho tablet bears the following inscription in Gothic black letter, with rubricated initials :— " This porch was built by Ednnind ; fir3t Bishop of Nelson, in loving memory of hit wife, Mary Elizabeth Hobhouso, whose soul was required, October 12, 1864."
