Sib. — In reference to a paragraph which ap peared in this evening's Postl complaining of th< unlighting of the city lamps, and calling upon tin city Commissioners to look after tho lamplighter I beg to state that my duties only extend t( lighting the lamps on Lambton quay, in Willii Btreet, and Cuba street, and that these duties arc efficiently performed, as may bo seen by anj passenger along those thoroughfares after night fall.
