The Tatuxaki Members. — A public meeting 19 to bo hold at New Plymouth on the 26th inst., when the members of the G-eneral Assembly fo? New Plymouth and Oraata will explain theie conduct during the past session to their constituents. " The purpose of the meeting," Bays th» Herald, " is to consider generally the position in which we are placed by the financial changes just introduced. That Tavanaki is at present in a very critical position, is not to be denied — at least as far as her provincial system goeB — but there may be worse evils than the abolition of that system ; though the prooess of being Bqueexed to death is very harassing to the feelings, ftp hope the meeting will be well attended,"
