John Martin charged with being illegally on bonrd tho Bchooner Falcon pleaded not guilty. Joseph Milo, master of the schooner Falcon, said that about twelve o'clook on the night of | Saturday last, he found the prisoner lying down in the galley of the vessel, and gave him infco custody In cross-examination prosecutor said thafc ho had a short time ago, told prisoner tljat if in want of hands he would ship him as one of the crew. Constable Biobard Reid deposed tb taking prisoner into custody at the request of Captain Milo. Prisoner, in defence, pleaded intoxication and his desire to find out if he was to be taken on atj fche nexfc trip across the Strait in the schooner. His Worship considered it had not been shown thafc prisoner had stowed himself away on board the vessol wifch any dishonest intonfc and would therefore dismiss the case. DEUNKENNBSS. - Richard Douglas, a respectable looking man, pleaded guilty to being the worse for liquor on Saturday night and was fined ss. CIVIL. F. Cooper vW. Black— £l ls 7d. Settled out of Court.
