» Lyttelton Times Office, Monday, September 21. The s.s. Auckland arrived in port yesterday morning, bringing the Euglish mail. The :Aldinga arrived with the mail at Duuedin on \\\s ,16th, having left Melbourne on the \Q\h instant* and mailed for Melbourne on the 18th with the homeward mail. Tbe Auckland : was detained by the Postmaster General, tiil tf*e 19.t0, to bring on the tenders fur the steam postal contract. She has on board 1 75 passengers, of ' whom 70 are volunteers; She made the passage in 19 hours to Lyttelton.
