WELLINGTON LIVE STOCK MABKET.
Messrs G. H. Luxford & Co's Report for the week ending July 31, 1863. ° The export cattle trade remains persistently dull, and the brig Valiant is the only vessel which has loaded during the past week. She has 72 head of store cattle, and 56 sheep for the Otago market, having been detained for some days by the southerly gale which has we hear, brought back the Harriet Armitage to Woraer's Bay for shelter. We do not anticipated any reaction in this trade until the spring sets in — The demand for stock, both stores and fat is likely to be undiminished, especially if the report that disease had made its appearance in the cattle shipped from Australia, should turn out correct. Fat stock is in increasing demand with astrong upward tendency in price, and has several large orders are on the way, the graziers may look for a good value for their cattle during the whiter. We quote fat cattle 4^ per lb ; store cattle, 70s to 1000s each ; fat sheep, 4J to sd; store sheep, 13s to 15s ; Ewes, 22s to 245. G. H. Luxfobd & Co.
