MILITIA. f jiHE names of many persons resident in the X Militia Diatriota of the Province of Wellington, being omitted in the Rolls, the attention of Militiamen is called to the following clauses of the law regulating the Militia. "The Senior Officer of every Battalion or Com- " pany or any other commissioned officer appointed "by him shall enroll all the men liable to serve "therein; and any man who shall not within three "months after his becoming liable to serve give in " his name, age, and place of residence to such " officer shall forfeit any sum not exceeding five " pounds." 11 Any man liable to serve or actually serving who "may desire to move without the limits of the " Division, in which he resides, shall have the " liberty of so removing provided tbat he shall " within one month, thereafter, give in his name, " age, and place of residence to the enrolling officer " of the Division into which be shall have removed " for the purpose of being enrolled therein, and in "default of his so doing, shall forfeit any sum not " exceeding five pounds," Any person personally or by post giving in his name, age, and place of residence, At the office of Captain Kibwan, Thorndon Barracks, Wellington, will be treated as having complied with the.
