DUNEDIN LIVE STOCK MARKET.
Messrs. Wright, Robertsoh & Cos. Report: "We have landed during the week, ex Fanny a Garriques from Wellington, a lot of fine large-framed bullocks, Our , sales consistof only one herd ex Gazelle from Wellington (240 head of mixed cattle), at JBJLO per head. The winter weather appears to make buyers of ship cattle cautious— consequently they are difficult of sale. Good working bullocks are daily enquired for, and are saleable at from £50 to £65 per pair. •» We have three pair of very superior workers for sale, just landed from Wellington. Dairy cows continues in active demand. We know of milkers fetching as high aB £30. Springers are readily bought up, we quote their average value at from £1G to £24. Fat sheep show an upward tendency, and from the limited supplies which the Province is likely to contribute, no doubt prices will continue to rule high. We sold a small lot, ex Airedale, from Wellington, averaging 42s or about lOd per lb. We quote good mutton at from 8d to lOd perlb.
