The s.s. Priucs Alfred arrived in this port yesterday morning, from Pioton, Nelson and Sydney, bringing dates from the latter place to tbe 20th February. Her last passage from Nelson to Sydney was accomplished iu four days, and 17 hours, arriving there in ample time for the homeward mail ; and her passage from Sydney te Nelson occupied five aud a-half days. The * Nelson Examinee' of. the 4th inst Bays :— -Three steamers are to be added to those at present in the employ of the Inter-eolo-nial Royal Mail Compauy : one, the Phoebe, will ' arrive at Sydney in about a month, direct from Bermuda ; a second, the Paulet, is expected in June ; the third is now being built. -. The Lord Ashley was expected at Nelson, immediately, she bad been laid on at Sydney for Nelson aud Otago, aud is about to take the place of the Queen. The Harrier took the news to Sydney of the loss ofthe Orpheus.
