A grand united effort is beiug made by the society of Odd Fellows M.U., all over the world, under instructions from the Board of Directors at Manchester, to collect subscriptions towards the Lancashire Relief Fund. The Wellington Distritt has adopted measures to carry this suggestion into effect, and the three lodges established in this Cily, have already contributed £46 towards the object in view. There are six other lodges in the district, and if they contii bute in a like proportion, a sum of about illOO will be sent by tbe Wellington Branch of this Society. A separate account has been opened at the Bank of New Zealand for the Lancashire Relief Fund, the district officers for the time being acting as Trustees. The balance of the funds acruing from tbe entertainment has been placed to their credit in that Bauk, and no doubt a draft will be forwarded to Manchester by the earliest opportunity.
