WEtIiINGTOH. Tuesday, September 16, 1862. Coffee v. Coffee. — Defendant was charged with assaulting complainant, who is defendants wife. Parties called, no appearance. Margaret Gill, was chajg'ed with drunken* ness. Fined 20s. and in default, sentenced to 7 days imprisonment in the Common Gaol at Wellington. Thursday, September 18, 1862. Scott v. George Yates. — Defendant who is a seaman of the Brig Yarrow, charged with deserting from the said vessel. Committed fur 21 days in the Common Gaol at Wellington aud to forfeit, and pay half a months wages and costs. Friday, September 19, 1862. Harris v. Gooder. — An information was filed against defendant, for permitting 5 head of cattle to wander at large in the public streets. Fined ss.- and costs 6s. 6di Millward v. Stent. — The like information but only one head of cattle. Fined Is. and costs. Same v. Nicholas. — The like. Dismissed on an informality. Same v. Thos. Claphara. — The like information only one horse. Fined Js. without costs. Same v. Curtis. — The like infornaatian, 2 head of cattle. Fined 2s. and costs. Same v. Schultze. — The like information, 1 head of cattle. Fined Is. and costs 6s. 6d. James Wallaoe, and Win. Rowlands, v. Josiah Minifie. — This was an information filed against Deiendaut by Complainants, to show cause why a certain portrait of E. J. Wakefield Esq., should not be delivered up. The court ordered that the portrait of M. E. J. Wakefield should be delivered up. James Leys, v. James Dunlop.— Defendant charged with having assaulted Complainant, Defendant fined 10s. and cost* 13. 6d.
