[Before Walter Buixer, Esq., R M.] Otahi, August 7, 1862. William Dodds v. William Davis.— Breach of Licensing Ordinance, (adjourned case). Dismissed with a caution. Richard Eagar v. Te flerekau. — Debt, £ Case postponed in consequence of non-service of summons. Aperbuma E. Ruru v. Matnahu. — Damages jGI 10s. Postponed to next sittings. Rangitiki, August 13, 1862. Thomas Gleeson v. Reneti and Te Pake — Damages £10. This w;is an action to recuver the value of a cow alleged to have been killed by tbe defendants nbout 12 mouths ago. Defendants vot in at end.nice It appeared from Plaintiff's statement that the cow* had severely gored a native woman ; nnd that a party of Maories bad thereupon destroyed her. No direct evidence as to the Defendants, and no witnesses called by Plaintiff. Case dismissed. Twakina, 15th and l&h August, 1862. George Masterson v. Henrich Goile. — Damages £10. An action for tbe value of a sow killed and another injured by Defendant j and son. John Gottlib Hentschke sworn in as German Interpreter. Charge as to killing admitted by defendant. No evidence as to loss of injured sow : Witnesses called on both sides as to the value of tbe other, Judgment for £4 and costs. George Mastersons v. JoliU' Gottlib Hentschke; Debt, £18. This was a claim for half a ton of flour, and six bags of pollard supplied to order, Defendant repudiated the agreement as to price on the plea of its baring been a Sabbath bargain. Evidence taken as to accept-ed-delivery. Defendant pleaded that be had ordered bran, not pollard. Delivery of bran proved. Judgment for £8 18s. (being £8 for flour, and 18s, for bran) and costs George Masterson v. Thomas Delamore — Damages £20' An action foi loss sustained in consequence of non-performance of alleged agreement to assist in securing a crop of wheat. Plaintiff failed to prore any agreement, Judgment for Defendant with costs. . George Materson v. Thomas Delntnore — Damages £4. An action for the value of a Boar killed by Defendant. Killing of a boar admitted. Evidence taken as to ownership and value. Judgment for £2 and costs. George Masterson v. Gower. — Damages £ case postponed in consequence of the illness of a material witness.
