LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
Mb. Hail's Benefit —The entertainment last night, for the Benefit of Mr. Hall, came off in a highly successful manner, before a numerous and distinguished audience. We observe fiom our advertising columns that Mr Hall announces four more performances at a very considerable redaction iv prices, the first of which takes place to-night. The Imported Deer. — We called atteution .a few day's ago to the' circumstance that the Buck and Doe which arrived per Triton, more i\mn two months ago — had never got further tk&n the landing place and were as yet lodged in an outhouse at Plimmer's Wharf. We certainly expected that something would have been done towards" removing them to some more suitable place, hut have been disappointed as nobody seems to know anything about them. .On enquiry we have ascertained that since tiieir •arrival they have been carefully fed and tended ,by James Sawyer, who is connected with the iS£u?bor Master's Office ; but we are nut aware jthat he receives any remuneration for the per[formanpe- of those duties.
