The All England Eleven beat the Beechworth Twenty-two by a large majority. Griffiths then, assisted by three fielders, played a single wicket match against the Beechworth Eleven and won it — the Eleven not scoring a run.
The Cricket Match between Victoria and New South Wales resulted in favour of the former. Victoria had only two runs to make the second innings to complete the victory.
The Lady Bird is advertised to return to Otago on the 16th January, and the City of Hobart on the LBth.
Dr. Evans is returned without oppo» sition for Maryborough.
Several returned New Zealand miners have been robbed of their gold in houses of ill fame.
