' This part of the lecture was illustrated by diagrams; and the discription of the monstrous creatures that walked the earth or swam. thY flood^duriug these epochs were rendered more vivid by good drawings, at sight of which the younger portion of the •audience no doubt felt thankful that they were not liable to be pounced on byyany of „. those winged monsters, and carried off as food for their little ones, as chickens now too often fall violims v to a hawk. The next leoture to be delivered, by Dr. .Curll is to be in continuation of the subject; and much interest is felt in anticipation of his explanation of the lata discoveries in France and.elsewhere.of wrought flints, &c, whioh geologists say indicate the presence of man on the earth at a period much anterior to that to whioh tha chronology received at present oarries us. - There was uo lecture Jiere last month in consequence of the inclen\enoy of the weather on 1 the evening appointed for the purpose.
