The Brig Montezuma, from Sydney, tbe 18th Sept., arrived at Napies on the 2nd inst, with 14 passengers, and a full cargo of general merchandise.* i ■ k. : ACCIDENT TO'THE CUTTER ■Aquila.— -By a private' lettter received per overland mail this morning, from Hawke's Bay, we learn, tbat the cutter Aquila, in going out of Napier on Saturday morning lust, got aground on the Rangatira Bank, outside the Western point of the Meanee Spit; aud on Sunday she was full of water, with her rudder split. Murray^ the pilot, was not on board at the time ofthe accident, Austin, the master, preferring to pilot her out himself.
