THE attention of all men within the Wellington Distaict, liable to serve in thei Militia, , hereby called to the following notice. MILITIA NOTICE. The following clause of the Militia Act Amendment Act, 1860, is hereby published for general . information and the commanding officers of Battalions and Companies are enjoined to give every possible publicity to the same within their respective districts. 7 Sections 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the said Militia Act are hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof be it enacted that the Senior Officer of every Battalion, or Company, orjany other Commissioned Officer ap pointed by him shall enrolall themenliable to servo therein ; and any man who shall not within three months after his becoming liable to serve, give in his name age and place of residence to such'Oflicer, in order to be enrolled shall forfeit any sum not exceeding £5.
