COMMERCIAL.
Business has been muoh brisker during 1 the last few weeks, than for some tirao previously. Oar coasters have been busily occupied in conveying supplies to the several sheep stations on the coast, and in bringing back return cargoes of wool, which have been transhipped into the Snarcsbrooh and Wild Duck, both of which vessels arc rapidly filling up.
On Monday, Messrs. Betbune & Hunter sold by public auction, at the Exchange, the oar go of the cutter " Planet," from Poverty Bay, which realised the following prices : — maize, ss. per bushel ; wheat, 7s. per bushel ; potatoes, sa, per owt. ; onions, 2d. to 2£d. per Ib. ; apples, 2d. to 3jd; peaobes (damaged) ; Chilian flour, (sound) £20 per ton; damaged do,, £19 per ton, and various other goods.
Mabmed. — At Dunodin, on. the 14th Instant, E. W. Badoook, Esq., eldest son of E. G.Badcock, Esq., near Taunton, to Sophia Pinnell, fourth daughter of the late Eichard Wells, Esq., of Perth, Western Australia.
