■ Sin, — The advertised match married v single did not oome off to-day in consequence of some of the players not being prcseut ; however, a very pleasant afternoon's play took place by sides chosen on the groand. My motive iv addressing you to-day, however, is no£,. so much as a report of to-day's proceedin|_-as to communicate to you the fact that many visitors on the ground to-day, and also lastThursday, expressed surprise when informed that our club had met regularly twice a week for play since ea,rly in Dec. Will you allow me through the medium of your paper therefore, to make the fact more geneially known and moreover that our meetings on Monday and Thursday afternoon's will be continued as heretofore (weather permitting) during the season and we invite all lovers of the game who have not yet Joined the Club to do so without delay.
