In our columns of -to-day, will he found an advertisement of an exhibition somewhat novel to mon of the inhabitants of Wellington. Il consists of a well arranged collection of will and other animals, and a groat variety of the finest plumaged foreign birds, very truthfully coloured from descriptions given by BuflTon, Goklsmith, and others, which are shown through prismatic lenses. Toe scale upon which the antmalsare drawn, is, we think, carefully scttdied so as to represent them to ihe observer exact in outline ; aud in every way calculated to convey a correct conception of the natural isize of each. The views also ara well chosen, those in Palestineand the Holy Land deserve especiil praise. The Sir John Franklin expedition aud the shipping are excellent and very natural. We have been favored prirately with an inspec tion, and consider the exhibition both amusing and highly instructive. The proprietor seems to have spared no expense, and as it is an onward step in the rig'it direction, viz :— the improvement of the mind, we wish him every success. We understand there will be a leclure describing the habits, &c. of the differeu^ objects in natural history, and explanatory v> each passing view.
