Their lordshipi met to*-day at four o'clock. The Royal Assent was given by commission to the Sugar Duties Bill, Superintendence of Convicts, the Friendly Societies Bill, and a number of railway and other bills. The commissioners were the Lord Chancellor, the Duke of Bnccieuch, and theEirlof Haddinfion. On the motion of Lird Brougham, the Bank, ruptcy Amendment Act was read a third time and passed. The Esrl of Powis presented a petition from upwards of 100 of the University of Oxford against the nnion of the sees of St. Asaph and Bangor. Their lordships then adjourned.
