Mr. Wilcox is building a Teasel of about 100 tons burthen, near the old pah, at the mouth of the River Hutt, She will be a very strong and well built vessel, since Mr. WUcox has selected the best timber which New Zealand, or perhaps any other country, possesses, for that purpose. The knees are from the Rata and Kowai, and the planking, which is 2J inches thick, is Mai, awodd which we think will prote equal to the Teak of the Bast Indie*. Mr. Wilcox intends her, during the whaling season, for a bay whaler; and intends, for the future, building vessels of above 100 tons, to follow the same laudable and lucrative branch of traffic. - The present craft is being built on the Ameflfcan plan. Eo that we expect she will be turned out a " regular clipper. , ' This will make the third or fourth vessel built under tbe direction at Mr. Wilcox, and for thns drawing attention to this important branch of our resources, he is entitled to the thanks and well wishes of his fellow Colonists,
