Last weeki a shark wag caught near Mr. Waitt'e wharf in a most curious, and almost incredible, manner. An American black, who was walking leastfrely along the beadb. observed a large fish close in shore; The black ran into tbe water, and just as the fleh had turned for the purpose of going further ottt, Btdoptd dofrh arid cattght it by the tail wilh both handstand notwithstanding its struggles hauled it on shore, in the presence of some fifty people, who were attracted to the spot by ebserving the black stnifglfeg «i»h the fl,h. Th 6 shark was almost immediately killed, and was found to measure teven feet three inches. The fact of sharks hating been lately caught in the harbour ought to act as a Caution to bathers.
