To a mixed and excited chorus of hoots and cheers “Lofty” Blomfield was disqualified in a wrestling bout wtih Paul Boescli last night. In the seventh round Blomfield clapped on an octopus clamp when both men were near the ropes and Boescli conceded a submission fall almost immediately, Blomfield being disqualified by the referee for not making an effort to break the hold. Boesch gained a fall early in the bout. AUCKLAND. This Day. The wrestling bout between McCready and Savage last night ended in the seventh round with the disqualification of Savage for disobeying the orders of the referee. He had McCready imprisoned in the ropes near the corner and was indulging in fore-arm jolts. Refusing i to release his hold a penalty fall was awarded against him. The referee dragged Savage away but only momentarily, as McCready was once more pounced upon while still entangled with the ropes. The referee then disqualified Savage and awarded the match to McCready.
