FEDERAL BAND CONCERT

ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME THIS EVENING

TEST SELECTIONS INCLUDED

■An attractive programme has been prepared for the concert to be given in the Academy Theatre this evening in aid of the fund to finance the Waihi Federal Band in the trip to Hamilton during Easter to take pari in the South Auckland band contest. The band, which has made splendid progress of late, will play selections, including test pieces; songs will he contributed by Mesclames Lithgow, Pollock ami Keven, the Misses Grant, Patton and Lloyd, and Messrs Fee, Caundle, G. Armour, McPherson and Morgan; duets by Mosdames Jones and Lithgow and Mr and Mrs Olphert; a cornet solo by Mr W. Henderson: elocutionary items by Miss Grant and Mr H. Armour, and dancing exhibitions by the Misses Nichol and Miller and the pupils of Miss Doris Mackie. The accompanists will bo Mrs Sullivan and the Misses McDonald and Morgan.
