STATISTICS FOR THE PA§T QUARTER
CRIMINAL AND CIVIL
Sixty males wore summonsed or apprehended to appear before the Waihi Magistrate’s Court during the quarter ended March 31st. Tills number included eight juveniles, who were dealt wtih in the Children’s Court. No females were involved in criminal proceedings. Fines collected amounted to £24 10s and fees to £9 14s. In the civil division 37 plaints wore issued, the total claimed being £361 13s Gd, but only 32 cases, involving £247 13s 9cl, were dealt with. Of this latter amount £230 3s 9d, or 95.5 per cent., was recovered. Fees amounted to £3 0 Bs. The total revenue received in the Warden’s Court for the quarter by (he received of gold revenue, Mr I. T. Pallwell, was £333 Is Gd.
