The Returned Soldiers’ Association was well satisfied at the outcome of the annual poppy day appeal yesterday, when £G‘2r was, collected in the streets'of the city through the sale of poppies made by disabled ex-sol-diers of Christchurch. It is expected that when cl her contributions come in the fund will reach £IOOO.
