' INTER-CLUB MATCH WITH TE ARCH A .WAIHI WIN BY 37 POINTS . AltlMUgh the weather conditions •during the forenoon were by no means promising the afternoon proved delightfully line and pleasant and a most enjoyable time was spent on ithe Waihi bowling green, where a •friendly inter-club match, five rinks :a side, was played between local enthusiasts and representatives of the Te Aroha club. The visitors were warmly welcomed by the president of the Waihi elub (Mr J. McDermott) and at the ■close of the play, which left Waihi ■winners by 37 points, Mr H. Peter:son, president, returning thanks on ■behalf of the Te Aroha players, who, ;he said, had enjoyed themselves , thoroughly and been delighted with the state of the green, which was in (splendid condition and reflected great ■credit on'the caretaker. He also referred to the hospitality extended to ■the visitors by their Waihi friends mnd expressed the hope that the lattter would afford the Te Aroha club aan‘ opportunity of meeting them in (another friendly game at Te Aroha, •when he hoped that some measure of. Ithe hospitality his men had received would be returned.
