WAIHI COMPANY'S MONTHLY RETURN HEOENT .I)EVELOPMENTS During the period ended June 30th, comprising 22 crushing days, the AVaihi Gold Mining Company crushed and treated 18,107 lons of ore for a return of 6-183 lino ounces of gold and 13,095 line ounces of silver. The figures include 2462 tons of quartz mined from tho Grand Junction area, which yielded 742 ounces of gold and 3 670 ounces of silver.
The following information bearing on recent development works in the mine has been cabled to (ho Loudon ollico of the company: No. !) Level —South branch of the Dreadnought lode: The cast drive has been advanced a further 3 0 feet, the assay value being 20/6 per ton. The width of tho lode varies from 2 to 5 fee). No. 10 Level —South branch of I lie Dreadnought lode: Driving east the next 23 feet assays 28/9 per ton. 'Flic lode is about 3 feet wide. Tho drive crosses the oast boundary at 358 feet. Dominion lode: At 150 feet west the lode junctions with a calcitc lode, 8 feet wide, coming in from the north diagonally, which has cut off the value. Driving is suspended and we are preparing to commence sloping. No. 14 Level —Martha lode: The next 25 feet driving east assays 4/3 per ton. Diamond Drilling—No. 4 diamond drill hple is down 291 feet. Boring is very difficult. (
