SITTING OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ADDRESS IN REPLY CARRIED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, this day. In the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon the debate on the Address in Reply was resumed by Mr J. R. Hamilton (Awarua), after which a division was taken on Mr H. E. Holland’s (Leader of the Opposition) amendment, which was defeated by 4S votes to 14, the Labour Party and Mr H. Atmore alone voting for it. Other speakers to raise questions were Messrs Forsyth, McKeen, Wright, and Nash. Mr Waite briefly replied and the motion that a respectful address be presented to His Excellency the Governor General, was carried without a division. The House rose at 9.3 0 p.m. till 2.30 on Tuesday next.
