A feeling of nervousness is being fell: by those who have staked their all in a homo or a husim-as, and to haw an IneHi dent fire brigade slid Is rum. Surely there must he something wrong when so many trained fire-fighters are compelledto leave a calling they love and take a speelalew's seat. The property-owners are suffering, as everything hinges on an idliciciu brigade, t contend that the Waihi (ire brigade haw been treated wry handsomely since the Fro Hoard was con.sriluted ; in fact- there arc people. who hint that i hey are g(<uing|a hit too luxurious in comparison to other institutions who have been compelled to make a 1 rut'’ to live within their moans. AVith an estimated annual expenditure of C9on uve should get value for our money.— I am, etc., DISAPPOINTED.
