Trout Fishing at Rotorua
—♦ —- A Suggestion
By Telegraph-Press Association, Auckland, this day. Patrick C. RMiTH,ltouring sportsman, who has just arrived from Rotorua, on route to Lonlon, disoussing trout fishing in the North, Bays that a great mistake h made by the Auckland Acclimatisation Society in refusing to allow trout to be sold whenever it was possible. He sent his trout to neighboring hospitals or gave them away to ftionds, but hundreds of pounds' of trout were thrown away every day or left to rot. To turn this to some aocount he suggests that the Auokland Society should establish a receiving place at Eotorua in the soason, and pay a penny or twopenoo per pound for the fish, and sell thorn in Auckland, whero they would readily bring sixpence per pound, and the profit bo made could be utilised in paying for the up-keep and im' provoment of the hatoheries and other ac-i olimatiaation work, He says they are mad to allow such waste, and are seomingly quite blind to the advantages tq be gained by some such soheme, one that would re|ioye the Government of much expense,
