New York, Dec.l An American bank has failed and several financiers have become embarrassed owing to enormous loans advanced on a Bpecious story told by a borrower that she had a million's sterling worth of securities in a certain bank. Steps have been taken to oompel their production. The borrower was the wife of Mr Ohadwiok, the reputed millionaire physician of O'oveland, Ohio. She denies being identical with LyiMa Dever, a hypnotist, who was convioted of forgery, and whom ahe closely resembles.
