ST. JOHN’S CLUB,
Another attempt was made on Saturday to complete the Labour Day tourney, but again the elements were <a stumbling block. However, good progress was made, and the fourth round was completed. The results so far were as follow:
Section A.—Parsons, 4 wins, no losses; Benefield, 3 wins, 1 loss, Glasgow, 3 wins, 1 loss; D. Armstrong, 1 win, 3 losses, Bell, 4 losses; Ball, 1 win, 3 losses.
Section B.—-Simpson and Moffatt, each 3 wins, 1 loss; Sewell and Laird, each 1 win, 3 losses; Harkriess and Gellatly, each 2 wins, 2 losses.
Simpson and Moffatt have to play off to find the section winner.

WANGANUI v. ST. JOHN’S,
The first game of the season of the above competition was played between the above clubs on Saturday afternoon, and victory rested with St. John’s by a margin of 14. , WBSTBOURNE V. GONVILLE. Four rinks from each of the above clubs met on the Gonville green on Saturday in a Fountain Banner match. The weather was fine at the start, but play Lad not long been in progress when light rain began to fall and! this continued steadily for the rest of the afternoon. The green was playing well at tbs start, but gradually became very heavy and this took all the pleasure out of tlie game, which ended in an easy win for Gonville. The following are details of the piny, Gonville players being mentioned first in each case:
