AMUSEMENTS.

PARAMOUNT-MUNICIPAL PICTURES. Picture patrons are now looking forward with pleasurable anticipation to the production of “Wagon Tracks’* at the Opera House on Saturday afternoon and again at night, and those who take time by the - forelock and book right away will show that they possess wisdom- “ Wagon Tracks” presents the celebrated William S. Hart in a new type of photo play. That is, the plot offers new and even more virile elements in its composition than have been seen before in his pictures, THE FAMOUS N.Z, DIGGERS. OPERA HOUSE TO-MORROW. The N.Z. Diggers are making a farewell tour of New Zealand under the direction of Mr Victor Beck, prior to completing engagements in the Bast, and will appear at the Opera House to-morrow and Friday, when they will present an entirely new programme of musical gems, eccentric dances, burlesques) comedy sketches, potted revues, and many novelties from their extensive repertoire. Included in the personnel of “The Diggers” ..are the inimitable Stan Lawson, “the misleading lady”; Frank Perkins, baritone; Tano Fama, comedian; Len Walker, dancer and light comedian; George Proctor, tenor; Len. Lome, comedian, and Gus. Dawson, ragtime exponent and dancer. A select orchestra of ten artists will be a special feature of “The Diggers’ ” entertainment. The Dally Mail, Brisbane, says: “For a couple of hours or more ‘The Diggers’ held their audience enchained with their sparkling comedy end tuneful singing, so that the flight of time passed unheeded and all too quickly. ‘The Diggers’ are strong in voices, and the musical numbers, whether gay or serious, are among the most pleasant items of the evening. Several clever burlesque scenes" are provocative of unrestrained mirth, and the remarkable female impersonations of Mr Stanley Lawson are delightful to see.” “The Diggers” are under the management of Tano Fama,. Frank Perkins, and Stan Lawson. Bernard Cottier is musical director, and Tano Fama producer. The box plans are at H. I. Jones and Sons.
