MANAWATU SHOW

OPENING DAI. (By our Special Exporter.) PADMERSTON N., Nov. 3. The Manawatu A. and P. Association’s 35th annual .Show, covering' three days, opened to-day in cold and showery weather. The grounds were in a sloppy condition, and very unpleasant for the side shows, of which there are more than in pre-war days.-/" From a numerical standpoint, the Show is exceedingly strong, the entries totalling 3722. The stock section includes entries of some fine animals, drawn from all parts of the province. The school exhibits are good, Marten District > High School being very successful in tne prize list. In art and technical, school work there was keen competition between Palmerston, Danncvefke, and Masterton, the latter winning many awards.
