SENSATIONAL ACCIDENT.

BIG , FLYWHEEL BEHANS 1 . (Per . United Press Association.) TAUMAEUNUI, October 31. Early on Saturday morning a serious accident occurred at Ellis and Burn- . and’s mill, Manunui. The big flywheel of the engine broke and was stripped to the hub, fragments being thrown ill all directions. .Everything in line of the engine was, razed to the ground. The spooke stack the engine was struck and telescoped, and! another large twin cylinder engine was damaged. A piece of the flywheel travelled two hundred yards, cut its way .through a stack of timber and completely buried itself in the ground. Fortunately no one." was injured. The accident will be disastrous to the'company and employees. The engines are very difficult to replace, and it is feared the men will be thrown but of work for some considerable time unless the main engine can be run off one cylinder. The damage is estimated at <£13,000.
