TEE HURSTVILLE RAILWAY SMASH.

THE, INQUEST. ' SYDNEY, August 23. The Hnrstville railway smash inquest was resumed. The driver of the train from Sydney to Hurstville gave evidence that he saw a train ahead waiting for the starting signal. He knew it would have to get out of the road before his train began to shunt. When he received thte signal he began to shunt, but had not gone far when he felt the crash of a collision. He did not think it his duty to inform the signalman that he had seen a train waiting ahead. He took it for granted that the signalman knew.
