ANTWERP, August 19. In the final tug-of-war, City Police (representing Britain) beat Holland by two pulls to one. Patrick Ryan (America) won the final hammer-throwing with a throw of fifty-two metres 87 centimetres. Final of the 1500 metres; Hill (Britain) 1, Baker (Britain) 2, Shields (America) 3. Time; 4.1 4-5. Davidson (New Zealand) won the third heat of the two hundred metres race. Paddock (America) was second. Time: 22 4-5.

Parker (New South Wales) ' was second in th e 3000 metres walk.’ A great race. The winner, an Italian named Frigerco, is a brilliant national walker. Time: 13.14 1-5.
