A Warsaw message states that the Russians are fleeing in disorder from the Vistula and the Bug. Three thousand have been captured. The Russians are evacuating Brest Litovsk. LONDON, August 19. Kameneff says the Poles did not continue the Minsk negotiations on Wednesday. FIERCE FIGHTING ADMISSION BY TROTSKY. Received—August 20, 1.30 p.m. LONDON, August 18. A Bolshevik communique states that fierce fighting is proceeding north-east of Novo Georgievsk. Trotsky, addressing the Moscow Soviet, admitted that the advance of troops had been held up before Warsaw. The fate of the revolution would be decided on the Polish front, although Wrangel’s front was acquiring primary importance through French aid. POLISH COUNTER-OFFENSIVE SUCCEEDING STEADILY. COPENHAGEN, August 18. Polish aviators are heavily bombing the road behind, the Bolshevik lines, which is crowded with transport. The Polish counter offensive launched round Thorn is succeeding steadily. The Reds are retiring under heavy fire.
