Oats, feed 4/- and 4/3. ADDINGTON MARKET. ■VALUES easing. . CHRISTCHURCH, Ang. is. At the, Addington market there was a big yarding of stock to-day, particularly of fat sheep and store cattle. Values in these showed an easing compared with previous sales. SHEEP. There was a medium entry, including lines from outside the province. Values weto easier than of late, and a number of lines were passed. Wether hoggets 22s 3d to 28s 2d, ewe hoggets to 30s Bd, mixed sex hoggets to 2<s 6d, cull hoggets 16s 2d, fairly good 2, 4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes in lamb 25s 2d to 39s Bd, sound and failing mouth ewes 22s 6d to 29s 9d, 6 and 8-tooth wethers 28s 7d to 37s 6d, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 32s lOd to 80s. Fat sheep.—There was an overflow yarding which graziers assisted to clear. Values .were down about 5s to ,7s per head compared to pre-national Sales. The close, of the sale was firmer than the, opening. Extra prime wethers 53s to 665, prime wethers 42s 6d to 49s 6d, medium wethers 37s 6d to 41s 6d, light and unfinished 33s 7d to 375, prime ewes 38s to 455, medium ewes 30s tb 365, light arid unfinished 22s 6d to 295, prime hoggets 3ls to 43s ordinary hog-gets 24s to 28s. GatTle. Fat cattle.—There was a slightly larger, yarding and firm sale throughout for all prime sorts. Extra prime steers £37 to .£46 10s, prime steers £26 10s to £32 10s, medium steers £lB to £26, prime heifers £lB 10s to £25 10s, medium heifers £l2 to £lB, ]irime cows £lB 10s to £2l 10s, ordinary cows £l2 to £l6 ss, light and unfinished cows £9 7s 6d to £lO 10s. •Vealers —There was a keen inquiry. Runners to, £9 17s 6d, good vealers to £7 ss, mediuiri carters £4 7s 6d, inferior 355. Store Cattle.—There was ,a big yarding, but prices- were firm. Two-year-bid heifers £6 15s to £7 6s, 2-year-old steers to £B, 18-month-old steers arid heifers £5 to £5 10s, 3 and 4-year-old sheets to £l4, store cows (good) £6 to £9. Dairy Cows.—Values declined on recent sales, though good springing sorts sold at satisfactory prices. Second carters £24 5s 6d, second and third carters £l9, medium cows £lO tb £l2. PIGS, Pat Pigs.—There was a particularly keen demand. Choppers £S to £lO 4s, light baconers £6 10s to £7 ss, heavy baconers £7 15s to £S 10s, extra heavy baconers to £9 (average price per lb, Is 0-|d to Is Id), porkers £4 10s to £5 ss, heavy porkers £5 15s to £6 5s (average price per lb, Is 2d to Is 3d). , ■ • Store Pigs.—A good entry and strong demand. Large stores £3 18s to £5 2s 6d, medium stores £8 9s to £3 Ifee, small stores £2 12s to £3 2s, weaners 35s to 42s 6d, tows in pig to £l4 10s. STOCK SALES. MESSES FREEMAN R. JACKSON. At Messrs Freeman R. Jackson’s yards yesterday there was an entry of approximately 4500 sheep and 450 cattle. There Was no movement to record in prices since the previous sale. The following is the range of the prices: Sheep.—Hoggets (medium) 23s 2d to 24e 6d ;■ fair 20s to 21s 6d; 4 and 6-tooth wethers 365; 4 tooth do. 335; empty ewes 23s 7d to 26s ; good fat wethers 45s to £3 6s; fat hoggets 345: cfill hoggets 11s 8d; fat ewes (good) 365; medium 325. Cattle.—Bullocks £l3 7s 6d: fat cows and heifers £l3 17s; light fat cows £9 17s 6d to £lO 10s 6d; 15-months Jersey cross heifers £4 to £4 16s; empty cows £6 to £6 11s; mixed yearlings (small) £2 16s to £3; small weaners, 20s to 275; Hereford yearlings £4 2s 6d; springing heifers £9 10s to £l2 10s; vealers up to £4. Pigs.—There was a fair entry and a keen demand. Porkers £3 6s to £4 Is; Stores 30s 6d to 335; weaners 30s 6d to 34s 6d; small weaners 36s 6d.
