AMUSEMENTS.
CHAMBEE OF COMMEECE. Members of the Chamber of Commerce are reminded of the meeting 1 in the Borough Chambers to-night (Thursday) to discuss matters in connection with the proposed railway from Greatford to Levin, thus shortening the Wellington journey by about one hour. Messrs Walker and McMannaway, representing Marton-Levin Eailway League, will be present to explain the proposals. The Hon. Mr Massey, Minister of Railways, is going over the proposed route on the 25th September. All members of the Chamber and of local bodies are asked to attend the meeting to-night.
