CONCRETE SHIPS
BRITISH GOVERNMENT’S LOSS. CONTRACTS CANCELLED. Received August 19, 10 a.m. LONDON, August IS. It is officially stated that out of 209 contU'.cts for concrete vessels, the Government has cancelled 143. The nett loss under the programme is between two and a half and three millions sterling. It is estimated tliat tho loss would have been live millions if all contracts had been completed.
