COUNTY COMPETITIONS. COMPLETING THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM. Received—August 19, 10 aan. LONDON, August 17. Middlesex beat Yorkshire by four runs. Surrey beat Kent by three wickets. Hobbs scored 132. E. 11. L. Wilson, Yorkshire, has accepted an invitation to complete the team for Australia. In the County Championship, Kent ha -/secured 73.30 points, Surrey 72.03. Mhrik-f-vx 71.2-5, Yorkshire 71, and Lancashire 70. Hobhs was the first to reach two thousand runs. It is reported that Holmes (Yorkshire) has been invited to make the Australian tour.
