SERIOUS RIOTING.

COLORADO CAR STRIKERS. Received August 9, 1 p.m. NEW YORK, August S. A tramway strike at- Denver, Colorado, resulted iu serious rioting. The strikers wrecked street cars and sheds, also the office of the Rost newspaper, ■which opposed the sirike. The .strikers met with a fnssilado of bullets which killed three and wounded thirty-five. Preparations were made to proclaim martial law and to draft in five hundred f roops from an adjoining camp. Toon this the union declared the strike off.
