THE GERMAN ARMY.

THE SEDUCTION QUESTION. EXTENDED TIME GRANTED., Received Feb. 21, 12.30 p.m.; Reuter LONDON, Feb. 18. Mr Lloyd George, as President of the Supreme Council, has to-day written to St. Hamer, the German Charge D’Affaires .in London, stating that he has received intimation from the President of the Commission of Control in Berlin, pointing out the difficulty with which the German Government is confronted if the Allies insist on the reduction of military strength under the Peace Treaty to 100,000 men by 31st March. This date was fixed in the belief that the Treaty would operate much earlier. The Supreme Council has, therefore, decided to permit that the reduction be 200,000 by 10th April, and to 100,000 by 10th July.
